Poppy loves horse riding "this much!"
What is Hippotherapy?

Hippotherapy is a treatment strategy provided by a qualified Physiotherapist or Occupational therapist utilizing equine movement to assist clients with movement dysfunction.

By using purposeful activities on the horse with controlled and graded input, hippotherapy aims to address underlying neuromotor function with benefits flowing on to daily activity.

What are the unique characteristics of  Hippotherapy?

The horse provides a dynamic base that is constantly moving and challenging.

The input to the client is rhythmical with three planes of movement similar to the movement in walking.

The movement is symmetrical  promoting symmetry in the client.

Bonding between horse and client provides a motivating environment.
