57 Ninderry Road Yandina Qld
The first RDA center on the Sunshine Coast was at Palmwoods, and opened about 30 years ago on the property of the Larard family. RDA Doonan opened at the Sunshine Coast Equestrian Center in Doonan in 2003. In 2006 both Palmwoods and Doonan Groups were in the position that they needed to find alternate accommodation.
Both groups agreed to merge, and put all their combined resources into establishing an Riding for the Disabled Center of Excellence at Yandina, now known as the Sunshine Coast Riding for the Disabled.
We have come a long way, toward this goal, and overcome many challenges so far. In fact our volunteers are more determined than ever to achieve success for this most important service to the community.
We have come to realize that a Permanent Home is the only answer to ensuring that this center grows and develops to meet the needs for disabled persons in our community. The present location and facilities are ideal and we are working hard to find a way to purchase this property.

Volunteer Training Days
Monday the 15th of Feb
and
Tuesday the 16th of Feb
Training days are a great opportunity for new volunteers to see what we do at RDA.
The opportunity is just as great for our well seasoned volunteers as training days keep everyone up to date with the latest tools techniques in an ever changing arena.
(Training days are also compulsory - but don't let that stop you!)
