Sunshine Coast Queensland Riding for the Disabled Centre offers Equestrian recreation, Sport, and theraputic activities to persons with disabilites. We rely on communty support and need a large volunteer base to operate out riding programs. We also have Carriage Driving and Dressage Programs. Our Centre is currenly fundraising to purchase our own property to develop a centre of excellence focused on Developing Abilities for our clients on the Sunshine Coast.

The first RDA centre on the Sunshine Coast was at Palmwoods, and opened about 30 years ago on the property of the Larard family. RDA Doonan opened at the Sunshine Coast Equestrian Centre in Doonan in 2003. In 2006 both Palmwoods and Doonan Groups were in the position that they needed to find alternate accommodation.
Both groups agreed to merge, and put all their combined resources into establishing an RDA Centre of Excellence at North Arm, known as the Sunshine Coast Riding for the Disabled (RDA) Inc
We have come a long way, toward this goal, and overcome many challenges to achieve this goal. In fact our volunteers are more determined than ever to continue this work and achieve success for this most important service to the community.
We have come to realize that a Permanent Home is the only answer to ensuring that this centre grows and develops to meet the needs for people with disabilities in our community and 2012 is the start of our this new era with the purchase of 2 Monak Rd North Arm.
